Hi...

I have been having SO many problems with coppermine as of late... This is literally the fourth time I have installed it for my site and it's giving me problems once again, perhaps I'm doing something wrong but I am so sure I followed instructions right... well it was saying there was a data base error I called my hosting company like I read on another topic, and they said it was the third party software that was the problem... i came back here and read that i should put it in debug mode to find out the problem so now that I have done that I was wondering if someone, anyone could help me out please.

the url is www.katehudson.net/pictures

thank you so much in advance. i am deeply sorry if this bothers anyone. thanks in advance once again.

Moonchild,

Your table cpg148_pictures is corrupt. You can use a database tool such as phpMyAdmin to "repair" this table.

Please do not PM me with support questions. Please read the manual and then if posting questions please place them in the proper sub-boards.

Moonchild

Thanks for replying OmegaGOD, but... I don't really understand what you're saying? How can I repair the table?

Nibbler

Use phpmyadmin to repair the table (search the board for instructions), or seek support from your host.

Okay... Thanks for replying but what I'm saying is I don't really understand what phpmyadmin is, is it that same place where I went into to put the gallery into debug mode? You know not everyone completely understands all of this stuff and that isn't my fault.

EDIT: okay so i know what the phpmyadmin thing is but still how do i "repair" this table? when i click on it it says

Can't open file: 'cpg148_pictures.MYI' (errno: 144)

Error

SQL-query :

SHOW KEYS FROM `cpg148_pictures`

Moonchild, it's understandable if you don't understand enough to fix it yourself. Note that Nibbler said "or seek support from your host".

Thanks I spoke with my host again and this time I spoke with a different guy and he was able to help me... I sorted it all out... however whenever I log in it wont keep me logged in? It doesn't give me an error or anything it just acts as if I haven't logged in. I tried searching for that on the board but didn't find anything that helped me.... Is it my cookie settings on my browser? Hmmm
