Using latest SMF & Coppermine & bridge files (10)
gallery is at http://parkinglotplanet.com/photos/index.php

Integrated for client (I am actually host trying to be helpful) and all went well. I have the "can't logout from Coppermine issue" and the "profiles go to a blank page issue" but that's no but that's no problem, found that in searching, and the owner doesn't care about that anyway
.
But after 1 1/2 hours searching I can't find the problem I have:
Everything went very smoothly (too smooth) everything works fine EXCEPT the former "User Galleries" (if you look we created a new one that works for now for new uploads)
The old user galleries just displays a "There was an error while processing a database query" message. Also in admin it does not display in any of the drop-does for categories, if you go to an album in user galleries the category is just in plain text, not a "box' like all other categories.
Doing a debug shows there is an error on line 88 of the includes/config file and a lot of stuff about admin approval.
There is a parameter in line 88 which is just || which appears to be where it is having the problem, apparently something else should go there.
This is all a current but previous separate install of SMF and Coppermine with separate databases but the same DB user.
All other galleries work fine, just not the ones individual users created for themselves. All the content is still there as you can get there through the "back door" of clicking on a "random" photo that's from a user album and it will display along with some other thumbs and the photos are there unless you click "user galleries" then back to the error message. I have double checked permissions (that was a headache) and probably set more to 777 that I should have but nothing is working.
Any ideas would be appreciated or if this has been addressed elsewhere a link would be great, I just have gone cross-eyed searching and I'm not getting paid for this  ::)

Just trying to help out a customer.
Thanks

First of all update your gallery. Bridging a gallery that already has content and users is not recommended since it requires manual editing of the database to sort out the mess left behind.

DDT

What do you suggest "updating" (a little more detail, remember it's the new version and I'm not a normal Coppermine user)
Also everything went very smoothly, the site owner likes it so well he is willing to sacrifice the user galleries to keep the integration, he doesn't like people trying to post photos on the forums & just fouling things up...Nothing was lost, changed, or difficult to do except the one issue with the former "User Galleries" all the created galleries work fine and once I figured out that now Coppermine had "adopted" all the groups from the forums and set all the permissions to allow use that was fine (before people just registered for the gallery and it was simple, only 1 group, but although the SMF forums don't really have any "groups" other than users and administrators the integration "saw" all the post count titles as separate groups so they all had to be given permissions. )

Nibbler

You are running 1.4.2, 6 versions out of date. Keeping the software you use current is very important.

http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=89658

After you update your error message may go away, if it doesnt then enable debug mode and tell us what the problem is.

You can disable post based groups if you wish, see the manual.

DDT

I didn't notice the change in the last digit (told you I wasn't a user, so it didn't say it needed upgrading anywhere like SMF so I did a duh thing). Ran the upgrade and now all is well (except my wasted time  ::)
Fixed all the problems
Thanks  8)

PS: The version checker shows a red flag because I didn't update the anycontent.php because the upgrade instructions said not to; so is everything OK with that?

Nibbler

That's fine. You only need to keep it if you modified it.

DDT

What would modify that file?
This gallery has nothing custom about it, just "out of the box" except for the galleries & categorties he added and the photos people posted. Default themes etc.
Sorry for another dumb question  ???

Nibbler

One question per thread ;). Don't worry about it, it isn't being used in the gallery you linked to.
