Hi!

I just installed CPG1..4.8 (Stable) and i have a lot of picctures (about 2500 pictures) and need to create categories with sub categories in it in adittion to albums inside it. But since i will get so many categories, the list will get very long. So i want to know if the list can be changed from looking like this:

1999
Summer
Christmas
2000
Summer
Christmas
2001
Summer
Christmas
2002
Summer
Christmas
2003
Summer
Christmas
2004
Summer
Christmas
2005
Summer
Christmas
2006
Summer
Chistmas

To display something like this

1999        2000       2001          2002
Summer    Summer   Summer      Summer
Chistmas  Chistmas  Chistmas     Chistmas

OR

to have folders that can be expanded (like in windows explorer)

+1999
+2001
+2002
+2003

(if i click on the + sign, the sub categories appears, lokking like this:

-1999
Summer
Chistmas
+2000
+2001
+2002
-2003
Summer
Christmas

I found another solution to this..

I just setup cpg to only show one level of categories and no albums on the frontpage

But i still want more customization options for the category view.. will this be implementet in future versions?

F.ex i would like to have the categories view with several columns, not just a list with one column (if this already is a option, please tell me how to do this) Like the albumview setup

Is an option, although not settable in your config panel, but needs some modifications of your theme. Has been asked and answered before, please use the search. As an example, check my personal page
