My install of phpBB has been modified with numerous hacks, some of which add tables to the db or make changes to the db. My user table is unaltered, however. Can I still use the bridge wizard to bridge my coppermine and phpBB installations, even with a somewhat modified phpBB?

Coppermine install: http://www.wiscollectorcar.com/coppermine/cpg132
Forum install: http://www.wiscollectorcar.com/forum
Coppermine version: cpg1.4.8
Forum version: phpBB 2.0.17
Test Username: testaccount
Test Password: test

BridgeManager settings:
Forum URL:  http://www.wiscollectorcar.com/forum
Relative path to your BBS's config file:  ../
Use post-based groups?:  0

No Test User Account Required
Nonsense: leave the decision if a test user account is needed to us. How are we suppossed to tell if bridging works if we don't have a test user account to test with ::)?

We can't tell, as we don't know if you fiddled with the authentification mechanisms of phpBB. Try to find it out.

I added a test account.

Most of the modifications add some extra feature to phpBB, which simply changes the features available when a user is logged in. However, I have installed a hack that eliminates session ids for guests, so that bots may index the forum. For instance if you go to "Car Shows 2006" the forum shows up as this url: http://wiscollectorcar.com/forum/forum-45.html , whereas if you are logged in it will show up as this: http://www.wiscollectorcar.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=45
To the best of my knowledge I've done nothing to modify the cookies in any way.

Thanks, it appears to have worked with no errors

Edit, I have found a problem with the personal galleries. I created a new personal gallery for myself, calling it Misc. I then moved a picture from another folder into it. If you go to personal galleries from the index page, you can see it:
http://www.wiscollectorcar.com/coppermine/cpg132/index.php?cat=1
However when you click on it this happens, and shows me as Mr. X:
http://www.wiscollectorcar.com/coppermine/cpg132/index.php?cat=10001
However, by clicking directly on the picture under "recent uploads" I can get into the Misc album:
http://www.wiscollectorcar.com/coppermine/cpg132/index.php?cat=10002

Any ideas?

Also now I have found that the "recent uploads" in the memberlist do not point to the correct users, they all point to wrong users, even ones who have never even uploaded a photo!

Hello GauGau,

I recently opened a topic about merging my install with a modified phpBB install. I was able to do so sucessfully, however afterwards I posted about several problems in coppermine after the merge. For some reason after this questions still remain to be solved the topic has been marked as "solved". Here is the topic:

Thanks,

1) Don't PM me or other supporters, as suggested in the board rules and my signature.
2) Your initial issue was getting your BBS bridged. You managed to do so, that's why the thread has been marked as solved. We have a strict "one issue per thread" policy
3) As suggested above: your modified BBS may or may not work. You're welcome to try, but it goes unsupported. That's why additional "complaints" won't help
