Admin Panel Width

I've searched the forums for this problem, and it seems others have had it, but the fix suggested for them didn't work for me.

First, I'm using the 'classic' theme.

I've having trouble with the width of the admin panel.

I have attached a screenshot.

I have changed the following settings to 100%:

Album list view > Width of the main table
Image view > Width of the table for file display

However, that doesn't seem to have affected the admin section.

It seems to be the Javascript function within the <a> tags in the admin panel which is causing the page to expand. Here is the code for one of those <a> tags:

Notice how it specifies a width of 600px. I'm not sure which file these links are called from, so I'm not sure how to edit them.

If anybody has any ideas, I would very much appreciate your advice.

With a screen resolution of 1280x1024 I checked your page: the actual coppermine content (no matter what page you're on) only has 500 pixels space left (horizontally) - the rest of the page is taken from your sidebar and the whitespace you have set up. You're in fact not using the classic theme, but a custom one that you built upon "classic" and failed to rename before starting to edit it.
Bottom line: your beautiful theme, with lots of white space that is pleasing for the eye, but a waste of space, the actual coppermine content only has a very narrow space where it could actually reside. Your config page only having a width of 600 pixels is not surprising me at all.
Only option is to reduce the wasted whitespace columns at the left and right of the screen.

Sorry, my mistake. You are indeed correct. I started off with the 'classic' theme, but modified it rather than starting a new theme.

Unfortunately the design is fixed with, Joachim, so I can't reduce the white space at the left and right sides. The client has asked that the design be fixed width, accomodating for 800x600 users.

I'm pretty sure that if I alter Javascript items in the <a> tags in the admin panel, I'll be off to a good start. Would it be possible for you to tell me where I can edit these <a> tags, if you know, that is?

In fact, scrap that.

I've decided I'm going to risk it. The gallery will be open for guests, and no registrations will be allowed, so there is no reason for a normal user to experience the break in design. I'm willing to take a risk that the client won't be looking inside the admin panel, and if they do, they won't mind the broken design, considering it is private.

Sorry Joachim. I just realised what that <a> tag was referring to. It's been a long day. 

I'm looking at my options now. It may well be Coppermine isn't the right way to go with this design, unfortunately.

You could remove some of the links or adjust the titles to be shorter words/phrases.

That sounds reasonable. I was actually going to get rid of some of the links anyway.

I'll be interesting in getting rid of the "Login", "Last Uploads", "Last Comments", "Most Viewed", "My Favourites" and "Search" links (You can see I'm going for a very simple system).

How would I go about editing this links?

Take a look at that. I presume the table with the blue header cells is causing the width of the table to expand which is causing it to move below my menu in the design. I've removed the links in the Coppermine menu, but it looks like I now need to reduce the width of the table with the blue header cells.
