Cant get album to be automatically created for new users

I've just upgraded to pnCPG 3.4 , and I still have the 'y' in the box for "Make useralbum when creating user y/n:", but it does not work. If I register as a new user in PN, go to the gallery, it creates my user ok, but no album. I have to create one manually. Not a big deal, but another step for the technophobe newby user to deal with. I know it used to work.

Is this just me, and is there something I can do?
