Hi, my gallery is not working right, and I need to make a new one (in a new directory) and have all of the images/categories already pre-installed. How would i go about backing up my gallery without having to start all over with the categorizing and albuming...?

please be specific if you can...

What exactly isn't working on your coppermine install? I suggest you back up your database as descibed in above link, backup your file structure (with ftp) and just install a fresh coppermine package over the already installed files.
For further info, give a link to your gallery (and, if necessary, a test account).

there is no use in giving you a link, because you can't even access the gallery-it says 'a database error or whatever occured, and here is what is wrong (that no one has helped me with)

the favorites thing (when you click Add to Favorites) forwards to displayimage.php?pos=0 and says it couldn't find any pix.

the search feature shows the pix, but when you either click on the next page of the thumbnails, or click a picture, it says 'this image can not be found!'

that's about it.

go to coppermine config and switch debug_mode on (at the bottom of the config screen) - this will give you details what happened.
I insist on the link if you need further help!

i did that already and it gave this error:

There was an error while processing a database query.

While executing query "SELECT count(*) FROM wiregal_pictures, wiregal_albums WHERE wiregal_pictures.aid = wiregal_albums.aid AND category >= 10000" on 0

mySQL error: Can't open file: 'wiregal_pictures.MYD'. (errno: 145)

File: /home/var/www/html/gallery/include/functions.inc.php - Line: 105

apparently your mySQL database might be broken. Check the mySQL documentation for the repair command!
