Gallery problem needs fixing URGENT

I have Coppermine Photo Gallery 1.3.0 on my business' website - all of a sudden nothing can be uploaded - the message at the top of the screen is this:

Warning: opendir(./albums/edit) [function.opendir]: failed to open dir: No such file or directory in /home/thesjhdd/public_html/gallery/upload.php on line 406

I have no experience or knowledge in the why for or how to...and my web designer is no longer available to help.

can someone please help me fix this - I am willing to pay.
