I started a post in the 1.4 category and they mentioned to look into Stramms Mod for possible solutions. So here I am!

My goal is to have a user upload a zip and a jpg file and it should show in the gallery as one file. Zip with a custom icon, now I have 2 files. Also it is not possible for a user to upload via ftp. Can this be done? Also it seems the icon for the zip in the image view is smaller than the jpg preview. Can this be changed?

So here my question is it possible to do with Stramms Mod? A User upload with a custom thumb for preview and on click a zip download?

Thomas
Thanks

There's a possibility for users to upload movies and later (in the file edit dialog) upload a custom thumb for it. With some coding it might be possible to use this functionality for zips too

This has been changed for CPG 1.5 (watermark, thumb cropping and sharpening is a core feature then). I do not plan to change it for 1.4, you'd have to change the icons to fit exactly the size you use (only if you use 'exact' as resize method)

Not at all, it hasn't been released yet. You're free to check out the devel branch of the svn if you know your way around for testing purposes. You shouldn't run it in a production environment. If you don't know what checking out or svn is, you'll have to wait for the release.

I've decided to offer a fix for that issue for CPG 1.4. Can be downloaded on my demo site (sig)
