new plugin suggestion: user login stats

hello code masters,

I came to think of a possible plugin which could have a great use. I searched the board and I found this, which is close to what Im looking for: http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=1400.0

What I would like to have is:

a) A count in the usermanager (seen my admin) how many times a person has logged in along with the last login date.
b) a more personalised welcome message displaying the new ALBUMs (lastup) since user's last visit

What do you guys think?
