Hi

Today i have 117 albums with aprox 2600 images. My structur is basicly
2006
  Party
  Misc
2005
  Party
  Misc

and so on

My problem here is that i want to grant access to my relatives to the misc sections and some of the party albums, but far away from all.
Then i want to have some friends acccess to those events they have been present on but not on all of the party section
Is it so bad that i need to create one group for each memeber or have i missed someting?

The thing is that you also do not want the noneaceess persons to even see that there are more albums in the catogory than they have access to. If so im going to have a flodding mail client with requests for unlocking accounts restrictions. I have played around with coppermine for some time now in relaxing pace and have understod that this one a very great SW so it cannot have this loss of permissions administration possibilities?

If it is like this (with my great surprise how do you handle the permisssions part on individual albums and categories and hide albums that not are supposted to be seen for certain people at all?

Hope for an concrete answer with some suggestions if the group policy isnt yet implement to function as above

regards  Winder

I've been wondering the same thing for quite some time, both for work, and personal use.

It's understood that granular permissions are not available, but is there no way (or mod) to just hide the names of the albums that they can't access anyways?
I don't see the point of showing album names that are not accessible to that user.

Any help/insight appreciated.
Thanks.
