Random pictures pallete problem and question.

First the problem..

 After adding my latest album, for some reason when I'm logged in it says "No image to display " where the images should be in the random pane.. if I log out, same deal. Any idea why this would happen?

Here are the stats, don't know if this makes  difference:

1416 pictures in 6 albums and 1 categories with 1 comments viewed 1018 times

Now the question is.. I have some pictures that are somewhat sensitive, and I dont want them showed in the "random" pane. They are all in one album, so I was wondering if there was a way to filter them out.

I searched, seems some other people have had the problem as well.. but no answer thus far.. Mine is tempermental.. sometimes the random pictures come up, some times they dont.

This is basic and in the docs.  Any album which has viewing restrictions set, will only be shown in the meta albums of people allowed to see them.
So if the album is sensitive, change its properties so only the group of users you want to see it can.  then any unregistered user, or someone in a lower group, will not see these pics at all.

But I mean, I dont want it to be in the random pane AT ALL - even if the users has access to them - I want it to be something that they have to purposely click on the album to view.

Is there a way to manually set which albums the random pane pulls from? or to exhume an album from being displayed?

This has been discussed on this thread; http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=3104, but jt has not been done yet.  So unless you can take on where we got to, and code it successfully, no it can't be done.

Also, when I restricted the album to only "Registered" users, for some reason I can't see the album (the pics come up on the random pane, however, when I click the album it says it doesn't exist)

Hi Raph,

this is a known problem.  Gointo config, and change 'show private album icon to unlogged users' to YES.  You can then see and edit the album.

There is a fix posted if you want to do that, and it is fixed in the next version.
