Integration with phpbb2.0.6/Imagemagick

[tattoux]

Hi,
I m new here and new to coppermine.
I have phpbb 2.0.6 running on my site and just tried out coppermine 1.0.2. Looks nice but I ve got two wishes that I can t make true :

1. I d like to integrate coppermine with phpbb and as I can read around here, there s a way to do so. Does it work well and how can I do please ? (Sorry if I missed a topic, I searched but didn t find something very clear, I m not so good at reading codes...)

2. I tested on my localhost and I ve been able to put images in my galleries but when I tried on my site, I couldn t upload any image cause the image converters don t work. I guess the only choice left is Coppermine. But I can t installa on the server, it s not mine. I just have a web account...Any help please?

Hi,
Coppermine relies on either GD or Imagemagick to work. If your host server has one of these, you can use it, but if not, you can't.

Check with your host what image app they use.

The integration with the bb is easy, but irrevelent if you cannot use coppermine

Thanx for your answer casper.
I ve done it and it works now. You can have a look here :
//www.clubiste.com/galerie/index.php
So, I ve got a few questions left :
- integration with phpbb 2.0.6, knowing that databases are on the same host but not in the same database?
- I have old photos on the server and would like the gallery to point to them. Is there any way to tell the gallery about their location in order not to post them again?
- I d ilke to make 3 albums (categories?) where people would put photos. I don t want hem to put photos elsewhere. I tried to make a public category and make 3 albums in it. The thing is that I don t like the category name to appear on the main page as it is the only category I have. But, if I take of the "catlist" param from configuration panel, the names of the albums don t appear anymore. Any solution?

Thanx again

from http://coppermine.sourceforge.net/demo/docs/index.htm#integrating :

It is also recommended that you use the same database for your board and Coppermine.

out-of-the-box: no

move the albums to the root level of coppermine (category "0") - albums don't have to be in categories necessarily.

Next time: only one question per thread, please :x

Thanx a lot for the answers. I ll try the integration as soon as I can .
I m sorry for the multiple questions.
If I still have problems, I ll write back. Thanx

Hi,
I tried out the integration with phpbb and followed the instructions carefully. Then, I tried out on my localhost.
The installation went fine but when I tried to login from coppermine, it redirects me to the phpbb login page (normal). I type my login and password and I m redirected to the phpbb index (normal I think)
When I go back to the gallery, I m not logged in  :?
It looks like a cookie problem.
I read the sticky about the integration in this forum and I still don t find a way....
I looked at my cookies through phpmyadmin and for phpbb, it s 'phpbb2mysql' while it s 'cpg11d' for coppermine.
Any idea please ?
