My user gallery is not viewable, how come?

When I set my gallery up, I could see the user gallery as a category, and I created a couple of others.  I put a picture in the user gallery category, then deleted it because it was only a test picture.  After deleting it, I clicked the home button to view everything and that gallery was missing?  Any reason why?  It's still there when I view the Categories.
