I've searched for a while and can't seem to find an answer to this question.

After I set up Coppermine on my site I asked a friend to check it out. I have 4 categories. The top 2 are public and the next 2 are private. He can only see the first category (and all the albums in it). Right below that he sees Random Files and Last additions. He can't see any of the other categories (not even their names).

I gave him the same user name and login that I was using, which can see all of the categories and albums. Even after logging in he still can't see anything more.

When I log in I see everything. And when I'm logged out I see the first 2 categories (with their albums) and the category names and descriptions for the other ones as well (like it should be).

Can this be a problem with Cookies?

Thanks in advance.

could you please post a link? that can explain more than a lot of words...

Sure: http://www.campagudah.net/Pictures

You should see the following:

Construction Pictures (category)  - and 4 albums.
Pictures (Category) -  and 4 albums
Other Pictures (category) -  restricted so that you can't see any albums.
Personal Pictures (category) - restricted so that you can't see any albums.

He was only able to see the first one.

More information: I spoke to my friend again tonight and told him to try again after I changed the theme. It worked. After that I changed the theme back to Rainy Day (which was the original one). He can now see the categories properly.

I'm still trying to find the reason behind this because I don't want that this should happen to any of the new users.

Thanks for your help.

It's working fine for me with the actual theme.

QuoteHe can now see the categories properly.
With the theme he had problems with at first?
And know it's working for him?

Maybe an browser cache issue?

Yes it's now working with the Theme that he had problems with at first (after I changed the theme then he logged on then I changed it back and then he logged back on).

I asked a few other people to check it out and by them it was fine. So I guess I won't lose any sleep over it.

Thanks again for you help.
