I'm having problems bridging the latest version of coppermine (1.4.10) with latest phpBB version (2.0.21):
After a lot of issues with php before and my site being down, I dumped the database today and re-uploaded the latest phpBB version. Wanting to connect the users from coppermine with the forums and just have them both networked I went ahead and decided to bridge the two which required me upgrading today as well. After all of that, however, it seems something is still wrong. I don't know "how" it's suppose to work but this what happens when I 'enable':

It immediately logs me out of coppermine and when I try to relog in, it takes me to my forums front page where I "am" logged in, but going back to coppermine it still does not acknowledged me being logged in nor can I log in. I did dump my cookies and relog in that way but still nothing worked. I probably would still be locked out if I didn't back up in my browser to where I enabled it and pushed disabled. Luckily it took it.

Coppermine install: http://gallery.mcloz.net
Forum install: http://forums.mcloz.net
Coppermine version: cpg1.4.2
Forum version: phpBB 2.0.21
Test user account: test / tester

BridgeManager settings:
Forum URL:  http://forums.mcloz.net
Relative path to your BBS's config file:  ../forums/
Use post-based groups?:  I can't remember... I think I selected "yes"
Cookie name/preifx (if applicable) - I don't remember this selection so no idea

Thank you and I hope someone will take the time to help me. I still have everything backed up in coppermine from updating today so I'm not too worried or scared about losing anything and again, there's nothing at my forums since I just re-loaded the whole database from scratch.

Oh, and sorry for the doublepost but I didn't see an edit, but just one last thing I wanted to mention. I am a php/scripting IDIOT. I probably shouldn't even be trying to handle this stuff. So, make it is simple when you answer and please be patient. I'm the sort that has the steps opened up in a window and am reading them as I go along and am rendered incapacitated if something doesn't happen within those steps.  ::)

You need to set your forum's cookie domain to .mcloz.net

Uhh... thank you for the reply and when I tried to do what you just told me I went to the configuration settings and in the cookie domain settings I put .mcloz.net and now... I can't log in at all!! And it won't let me change it back!!  :-X does this mean I have to redump the whole thing again and reupload it all *sigh* I should have made a back up just in case... stupid me...

Sami

- Use phpmyadmin and change back the cookie_path to / under xxx_config table

So change forum's cookie domain.
‍I don't answer to PM with support question
Please post your issue to related board

I DID change the forum's cookies. Luckily for me, it actually turned out to be a simple yet dumb case of dumping my cookies and reloading the page. XD Everything is now working perfectly! Thank you!

However, do you mind if I turn this thread into another question? Or do I have to go somewhere else to do this? Whatever, I'll ask anyways.

When I have the bridging enabled, it reads the "forums" memberlist (which is no longer there) so if you access the user gallery on coppermine suddenly everyones' albums and photos disappear (though they are easily regained when I disable it). Is there someway to fix this problem? I was acutally wanting the php forums to read coppermine's memberlist but that doesn't seem to be happening here.

Actually, we do mind. We have a "one question per thread" policy you agreed to respect when signing up.

You should have read the documentation ("Coppermine users, groups and pics uploaded by users are lost when integrating") before asking questions: when enabling bridging, the correlation between the stuff that existed in your unbridged coppermine install and the new user management imposed by the bridge are lost.
