1) Read the documentation (link at top of this page)
2) Check the tutorials (link at top of this page)

Don't expect to be spoon-fed.

Can I please get some one to help me now. I've wasted the past 5 or 6 months of my life trying to get it uploaded. But Nothing I do is working. I've read over every thing, And its just not explaining it to me. Can some one please help me upload it now??

Steps to follow:
1. Download the latest Coppermine zip file to your machine
2. Unzip it
3. Upload the complete folder (which you now have after unzipping) to your website using your favorite FTP client
4. Open the site in browser with URL something like http://www.toxicbloom.co.nr/cpg (replace cpg with the name of the folder you just uploaded)
5. Follow the instructions given on screen.

If you think all the above given steps are tooo difficult and you will have to waste more 5-6 precious months of your life, hire someone by posting a job  on freelancers board. http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?board=30.0

Did you not understand what i just said!? I cant do it, I've read the manual and all the tutorials. And I can get it to work. I need some one to help me set it up. I've already tired too many times.

While I hate to sound callous, but I'm not sure if you're going to get any...

In my quick tour around the forum today, I saw another thread you've started over in the Freelance board where your looking for someone to do the install for you... For free! Good luck on finding someone willing to do that for you for free.

Another issue I see is that you said you don't have FTP access to your hosted space... Well then... THERE'S YOUR PROBLEM RIGHT THERE!!! You can't install Coppermine anywhere unless you have both FTP access to the space on a web server AND a database. Those two factors cannot be gotten around or fudged... (Nor are they provided within 'free' web space either.)

I don't mean to be harsh here, but that's the facts...

OrlandoFreak

their are plenty of sites that host ftp stuff. It can be uploaded their

Coppermine doesn't support remote storage. Look, the advice ComputerLady has posted is valid: you'll need php-driven webspace with FTP uploads, a mysql database etc. set up already - as suggested in the docs (minimum requirements).
If you have no idea what all of this means, then I suggest the entire idea to host a gallery. Do something you understand, or learn how to accomplish all those things. Thousands have learned it. If you're not ready to learn it as well, then collect stamps or raise a pet. You have to be a bit geekish to run a gallery.
Looks like you are pretty young (that's probably the reason why you're so eagerly looking for free hosting and free setup, and the reason for using poor grammar as well). Ask a computer-savy friend then to help you, or ask your parents.
We have little tolerance for laziness, so read the docs, look up terms you don't understand (using wikipedia or similar). Come back if you have actual issues.

Marking this thread as "invalid".

What sites have all the things I need to host coppermine. I had found some once in the past and now for the life of me I cant remember what the sites name is.  ???

OrlandoFreak

Umm thanks but I couldnt find one that host for free. Some said they were free but I had to put in my phone number and street address. And I am not doing that  ::)

Its not that I am lazy, I told you i have spent the last 6 months trying to upload the photo gallery. I had some sites that hosted all the think i need to upload this photo gallery. But I for the life of me I cant remember what those sites where. But I read the tutorials and the manuals and every thing that came with the download file. And none of it is making sense to me. I've read, I tired to upload. I did got it to the web I just couldnt figure out how to make it LOOK like a photo gallery. Thats not being lazy [not in my book at least]

Tranz

In the freelance board, there is a post offering free installation.

If that doesn't work out, you might want to try one of those popular photo services where you don't have to find hosting or install anything... just upload your photos.

Free host require you to enter your address because they need to know who is going to be liable for the content of the site. If you're not ready to do so, then you simply can't have webspace of your own. You have started similar threads already. Don't behave childish. We're not going to continue the discussion you have started in other threads: Coppermine comes with minimum requirements. One of them is that you already have a web host. It's not our task to come up with suggestions that enable you to get free webhosting. As suggested previously: come back with actual coppermine issues if you have fullfilled the minimum requirements. Don't ask further questions that are none of our business.
Your question is not related to issues when uploading files in coppermine, so your thread shouldn't have gone into the sub board "cpg1.4 upload". Moving thread accordingly and merging it with the other thread that deals with the same issue.

The only reason I can think of to want free & anonymous space is for hosting non legal content, not something you will find help for.

If your looking for a fast and easy cheep but not free host that will set coppermine up for you look for a host that supplies 'fantastico', which can be used to set up coppermine in 30 seconds :)
