Hi,

yesterday, i set up coppermine on my webserver and it works just fine. but now i have a serious problem. private party pictures should be viewed by anyone who hast just registered. but i have some other groups like family and friends. the problem now is that when i assign someone as first group to friends, there is no checkbox for assigning them as second group to registered. so they won't see the private party pics...
i could assign them as primary group to registered an as second to friends, but that would compromise their rights and uploadspace as well..,. and also it would display them as "registered" but i want them to be displayed as "friends" or "family"... the thing is that new registered users want to see private party pics instantly and don't want to wait until i assign them to a special usergroup.. because of that i assigned the private party pics to registered user... it would be nice when a user is always a registered one when logged in, no matter what he is assigned in primary or secondary group....

i hope you understand my problem.. sry for the bad english.. it's not my native...^^

That's exactly what you should do

Not correct: least restrictive permissions apply: if the secondary group has higher privileges apply, i.e. membership in th group "friends" even as secondary group will do what you want.

Small drawback if you ask me - they hardly will notice imo.

Will be the case with above mentioned setup

hmm i have a group friends, which are allowed to upload 4MB. registered user can upload just 1MB. if i assign a user in primary to registered and in secondary to friends, the user is allowed to upload 1MB only... why is that?

Unable to replicate. Post a link and non-admin test user account, with the test user account being member of the friends groups.
