I have a seemingly serious issue. I have searched the forum and only come up with similar problems, not this same prob.
I have Coppermine 1.4.10 bridged with PHPBB 2.21
All is well except my registered users can't post pics in the public galleries.
I have the permissions set right, i think. See the attachment. I have it set, as far as i can tell, to allow all registered users to post to public galleries without admin approval. But my test account can't do it. and neither can my other users.

my gallery: http://biofuels-council.dhdist.com/picsvids/
my test user: test, password: testy

What am I doing wrong? I had it set up this way before I bridged it, if that makes a difference.

Thanks to you all for your ever-courteous and informative replies.

I too faced the same problem and the solution for me was this:

We have provieded the registered members to upload files.

But not set the permission in public albums from admin side.

For e.g. i will recommand u to login to gallery via admin username and pass and then go to any albums properties and make there changes like i noted in the image file attached with this reply.

Thanks!

Uploading works as expected for me (see http://biofuels-council.dhdist.com/picsvids/displayimage.php?pos=-54). Make sure you have set the album properties accordingly of the public albums that you want your users to upload to: set "visitors can upload" to yes.

Gau Gau: Yes, test can upload to test's own galleries without problem. I was actually helped by the suggestion to allow visitors to upload files. I didn't know if "visitors" meant "guests" or "registered users who happen to be visiting". I guess it's the choice of words. I didn't want to let "guests" into the gallery as it is on an invite-only basis. I guess having it integrated with my BB makes it secure in that sense.

b4uphotos: Your solution seems to be the same as GauGau's. I hadn't considered this route.

Thank You both!

That's why there is an asterisk next to the word "visitor" that explains what it means. This is being covered in the documentation, which is mandatory to read before asking questions.

Well I am terribly sorry. Sometimes my eyes glaze over when I read lines upon lines of text on a screen, and I miss things like that. Maybe I should print the manual.  :-[
