Uploading different resolution pics later

When CPG originally had 1000x1500 size large images in an album and later on you want to overwrite them with lets say 2000x3000 images CPG still opens a 1000x1500 window to show the new larger pic.
Is there a way to change this without going manually in PHPMyAdmin and change the image size properties.
I know you can resize thumbs and intermidiates later on in the Control Panel, but I couldn't find anything on reprosessing the large pics.
