When I try to upload a WMV video file of either size 10MB or 20MB, it loads up the progress bar and then reloads the upload page (I have 25000kb maximum upload enabled, so it should work!!!

Is this filetype not supported? What files are supported? I have successfully uploaded both JPG & MOV with no problems!

There are client-sided limitations as well as server-sided limitations (non-coppermine settings, but settings on your webserver) that might result in time-outs. Please read the sticky thread on this sub-board to find out more about those limitations.
You (as gallery admin) should use FTP-uploads plus batch-add in the first place anyway, especially when uploading large files. Setting the upload limit in coppermine to a very high value may not be enough, as the other restrictions (client- and server-sided) apply even before coppermine-sided restrictions do.

ok I just uploaded the file directly through FTP, and try to locate the file with coppermine's upload page, but it just says 'this page cannot be found'!

Joachim Müller

After FTP-uploading you're suppossed to use the batch-add function, not coppermine's http uploads page. Did you read the corresponding section in the docs? If yes, read up the upload troubleshoot section of the docs as well and do exactly as suggested there.

It's working now, thanks...

BUT! I don't have any information about the file showing, is there a way of editing some info into it? And can you change the WMV logo to a thumbnail of the video?

Joachim Müller

Yes and yes. Please refer to the docs.

go to the images folder and look for a file called thumb_wmv and change it :)

Thanks for trying to help, but that's the wrong answer. Correct answer: http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/index.htm#cust_thmb

Anyway: one question per thread. Locking.
