Hi,

I know this is a repeat question, but how do I enable admin mode?

I have performed a clean install a few times, read some posts advising to check the cookies. I have deleted them, shut down Firefox/restarted and still i don't see the admin login link..

I have even tried in IE, but the link does not show - so is this still a cookie issue or something else?

thx

Did admin mode work previously or is this a completeley new installation?
It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.

There's no admin login link. There's just a regular login link that you use to log in with your admin account. Once logged in, you should see admin buttons.

It might help if you posted a link to your gallery, or maybe even a screenshot of what you see after you log in with your admin account.

This is a clean install - actually on my test bed before I upload it to my website..

See attached of my main page - as i mentioned, I have only just installed it / reinstalled it without success..

thx

Your login doesn't stick. Make sure that your browser is set to accept the cookie. Clear your cookies for a start, then review your browser's cookie settings. Make sure that you haven't supplied silly (invalid) cookie settings in Coppermine's config. Be consistent in your domain name use. If "localhost" doesn't work for you, try your test system's IP address.

I have deleted them and the browser is Firefox and never experienced other cookie problems like this before..
The cookies are set till they expire..

I have also tried changing to the internal IP 127.0 etc - no change!

Please understand i have not entered into the config or other php files and made changes, I set up the database, ran the install script and then entered into coppermine through the links on the page confirming all was successful and I have tried on IE, so it would not appear to be cookies??

But agree login does not stick..

Must i change anything in the config or other files?

thx

Try the actual IP address instead of 127.0.0.1 then.

Well, hard to say what is wrong with your testing system as we don't have access to it. Not sure what else to recommend. You might want to perform a live-install on an actual public server or try the unsupported Live-Demo package.
