Albums on the start page.

I was wondering if there was any way to get my album list to be my start page? If you understand what I mean. You see when to go to the gallery page on our site. It first gives you the category list there's only one and it's called User galleries, that's fine we can keep  that, but when you click on it it sends you to a sub-category, I guess, and then you have to click on the picture to get to the album. What I'm wonder is how do you get rid of that sub-category thing?
