Hello All....

Can I create multiple instances of Coppermine Gallery in one database/one website?

For instance...I have four projects that I want separate galleries for; is there a certain way to set up Coppermine for this kind of setup, is it possible?

Can I even have seperate instances of Coppermine Gallery in separate databases/on website?

Any ideas, tips, tricks?

Yes, you can: just choose different database table prefixes when installing. Don't double-post!

If the separate galleries relate to separate subdomains, i.e. a family site and each member has their own site under a subdomain, say family.com has dad.family.com, mum.family.com, kid.family.com; should the main files be installed under family.com/coppermine/?  From there, do we run the family.com/coppermine/install.php each time and link to one of the three databases setup in advance?   Is that how I'd do it?

- You should install CPG on each subdomain separately

- You can have 1 database for all of them and choose different table prefixes
- Or you can install them on separate databases

Does that mean I need to copy all the files into each subdirectory as you have suggested?

Sami

yes, if you want separate gallery for each site

Okay, thanks for you help.  I will try and pare down unnecessary files to reduce usage in limited space.
