Not sure where this post really goes. I could REALLY use some help. About a month ago. i installed coppermine by itself. It runs with no script help. My main site is e107 my forums are phpbb. All installed seperately all with separate sql databases. Everything worked no problem. I get home today and the gallery doesnot work for me. I hit the link i have for the photo gallery and i get a popup window asking what program i would like to open the index.php file with. (Same as the box when you d/l stuff asking if you want to save and open etc).
i use Mozilla. So i tried with ie explorer thinking it was a prob with my normal browser. Same results. Not a clue on what happened. I cannot think of any reason it would do this unless someone figured a way into somthing and screwed it up. Only coppermine does this. All other links i have work flawlessly. i have tried to get in the admin.php with the same results.
Now for me this is the weird part. On the main page i have a picture i linked using lightbox for e107. All it does and create a thumb from the gallery with no integration whatsoever. But i can view the picture alone. If i try to edit the address back to the album the picture is located in i get the "The contents of this folder aren't meant to be browsed. Visit the Coppermine Photo Gallery instead - you'll be redirected. If you don't want to wait (or your browser doesn't support redirect), click here". error.
If i edit the addy to go back one more the popupbox with the choose program to open comes back up again. I have no lue what happened between before i went to bed until i got home from work to have caused this. No one but me has login access. i did have it opened to the public. could someone have uploaded something to have screwed it up? I just dunno. Any help on resolving this issue would REALLY be appreciated.

couldnt find the edit button. This is where the actual coppermine script is stored   http://www.guildanguish.com/Guildgallery/

Your gallery works as expected for me, so this is probably something on your client. If your issue persists, then I have a wild guess: you have "told" your client to do something silly with PHP files. In your operating system's control panel, check "folder options", making sure that you haven't assigned a particular app to PHP files.
You might want to post a screenshot...

Yeah i told it what to do. Not sure *beep* happened. But i would say 2 hours after i posted it started working again. I asked other members of the guild and they had the same problem. If it happens again i will for sure submit screen shots. Maybe some weird act of Randomality glitch? Who knows. but it went from not working to working without me doing one singly solitary thing. If i ever figure it out ill be sure to post what i find

Rather some maintenance works going on, performed by your webhost.

AHHH yes that may very be it. My entire sql database was down one time for about 2 hours the magically came backup. The web host im afraid doestn let us know when they are doing things such as that unfortunately
