Google has published the list of accepted students and their projects for Summer of Code 2007. Coppermine received the opportunity to work with four students on projects that we believe will be beneficial to our users: http://code.google.com/soc/coppermine/about.html

The Coppermine Dev team is looking forward to what we can all accomplish this summer.

Overall stats

There were 35 eligible applications. One of the students is already involved in Coppermine forums. Not all students have experience in working with an open source project. In addition to selecting students for the potential that they have, we sought students who showed enthusiasm for Coppermine and the projects that they would be working on.

Please help me extend a warm welcome and cheery congratulations to our students!

It seems that I can't send private messages. When I click on 'preview' or 'send' nothing happens .. . Or you're about to receive 500 copies of the same message :p. I'm using a mac and tried with Safari and Firefox but I don't think that's the problem.

Hi!

I am one of the accepted students, and someone not-so-familiar with the open source world - though I do believe that this will be my opportunity to do so :) and get to know quite a few of you!

But I do host a photo blog - you can visit it at http://photoblog.nitingupta.org (I'm currently touring Istanbul which follows a tour of Tokyo late last month)

Cheers

Sami

All students have registered and have been assigned to the GSoC Students group, which should give you access to the dev-only boards. Once again: welcome!
