Duplicated images when batch added

Hello, I'm having a problem with coppermine 1.2.1.

I've uploaded (FTP) a inside an existing directory

...../userpics/albumold

a subirectory called newpics

..../userpics/albumold/newpics

albumold keeps all the pictures for an album correctly visible on the front-end.

Doing a batch add pictures I can see properly the subdir
(permissions is 777 for the whole userpic subdirectory tree)

When I add these pictures to the existing album, all the entry are duplicated -(

Any idea?

This could be because you are putting your pics in folders inside the userpics folder.  This is a no-no.  You should ftp into folders you create in the albums folder, but not the userpics folder.  This is reservered for use by copermine when users uplad using the upload facility.
