Hello

I have read all documentation, and read FAQ's without finding a solution to my spesific problem.
Is as follow:

I would like to have catagory structure like this:
-User albums
  ----> user 1
  ----> user 2
  ----> user 3
- Designers
  ----> name 1
  ----> name 2
  ----> name 1
- Whatever
- Whatever

When a user registrers, he is granted permission to upload albums in the "Users album" category, in his own made albums/sub-albums

My problem is assigning my own made user group "Designers" a default category and albums underneath this category.

We will have 5-10 people presenting theis work in this category, with their own album under each of their names.
user 1 is supposed to only have permission to user 1 album/sub-albums created by himself + under user albums etc.

IS THIS POSSIBLE AT ALL ?

I can also se that there is a button in the user group view called Assign album(s).
When hitting this, what is supposed to happen ? Only get "Notis" This group has no spesial permission" (translated from Norwegian....)

Also in the Edit User view, there is a button called "Album permission by group"
Also when hitting this I get an fault message "Albumpermission by group" with 3 colums underneath, but nothing to choose from or to edit.
Is it supposed to be something here ?

Best regards

Yes and no: it is possible if you (as admin) create the suggested category/album structure and give your users the needed permissions to populate the albums (i.e. upload stuff there). It is NOT possible to accomplish this if you want non-admin users to be able to create albums outside of the user galleries: they can't. No way to circumvent this. Missing feature if you want.

Actually, the button is labelled "Assigned albums", not "Assign albums". Subsequently, it's not the place where you can actually assign anything. You can only view things there. To actually assign permissions on albums, use the album properties screen.
