how do i stop people right clicking my photos in my photo albums and saving them. ???

Stramm

there are mods/ plugins that accomplish what you're looking for, search the board

a) disabling the right mouse button
b) displaying a transparent gif over the image so that a user saves the overlay image and not the original

Not at all. There are some silly no-right-click scripts available, but they won't really keep users from stealing your pics. That's the drawback of the way www browsers work: if a file is being displayed in the browser, the user already has got it downloaded. Your best option is not to publish files on the internet if you're afraid that others might steal it. Second best choice is to watermark them.
Searching this board for "no right click" or "watermark" will give you an idea what you need to do.

As GauGau said, images on the screen are already on the computer... the user just has to find them. The web developer extension makes it even easier by generating a list of all images on a page, which defeats the right-click and transparent overlay methods of deterrence.
