Hey, i was wondering if the pics i send through FTP ('Batch add files' tool) get watermarked too.
Because if i send in the normal way ('Upload file') and with the Watermark for both Original and Resized option selected everythings ok but if i send through ftp, the original doesn't get watermark.
So, is there a problem or for FTP the watermark on the original pic doesnt appear?

Thanks!

Stramm

works for both, http and batch add cause both use the same functions

if you enable watermarking for original and resized then the fullsized and the resized got watermarked (it's a little bit missleading)

with prefix normal_ : that's the resized pic  -> gets watermarked with setting resized and both
no prefix : that's the fullsized pic ->  gets watermarked with setting original and both
prefix orig_ : that's the copy of the fullsized pic (doesn't get watermarked, used to undo watermarks)

Lol, whaat?  :D
My configurations are currently like this:

(https://coppermine-gallery.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg118.imageshack.us%2Fimg118%2F745%2Fconfigwe7.jpg&hash=bb9572d0194f23bc19d0563a69219d91d093a021)

With 'BOTH' and when i send pics by FTP the ORIGINAL wont get watermarked! :(

Stramm

OK, now I got you...
That's no settings problem but a permission thing. This has been asked a answered already.

If the apache/ php user is different to the FTP user, this may happen (apache/ php user won't have permission to modify the files you uploaded [FTP user]). If you http upload, then the file owner is apache/ php. Means no problem for http.

What to do?
Depending on your server setup chmod the folder you want to batch add to 777 (or 755, depending on your server setup) and the files in that folder to 666 (or 644)

Stramm

step for step describe what you've done

jmmc

I entered the FTP and on /albums i changed the pics inside the folders to 666 and then the folders to 777. :S
Btw, is there a way i can remove the current tag on the Resized pics without having to add again all the pics?

Thanks.  :'(

Stramm

that's what I've thougt
just chomodding them doesn't watermark them. This is done while uploading/ batch adding. So if you've already added them you need to run the admin tools and recreate the fullsized pics (the same you do if you have watermarked the pics and want to get rid of the watermark again -> disable watermarking in config, then run the admin tools and recreate intermediate and fullsized pics)

jmmc

How do i run the admin tools and recreate intermediate and fullsized pics? :S
I only wanted the Watermark on the Original pics and remove the current tags on the Resized ones but i can't do it.  :'(

In my case i pick: Both resized and full sized (if a orig copy is available), right?  :-X

Stramm

That's config settings, if you want to watermark both, intermediate and fullsized pics.
If you do not want to watermark any pic, disable watermarking in config.

-> If you've changed these settings after you've uploaded pics, you'll need to recreate them -> that's done in the admin tools

got it?
