How can I have thumbnails that show the original image size, resolution, on my coppermine gallery?

Here is an example of what I am talking about

(https://coppermine-gallery.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg440.imageshack.us%2Fimg440%2F126%2Flockepointingho7.th.jpg&hash=87724bec1e2bd686907161f9695505c12a895168)

I would love to have the black bar on the bottom of my thumbnails like ImageShack provides.

I know more and more sites have this feature for uploading images for forums.  I would greatly appreciate it if someone here knows how to implement this in Coppermine.

In the future, please search before posting: Thumbnails with Resolution Information?. Nibbler's reply to that thread is still valid.

Frink

How was it valid when all he said was "it certainly is possible" without telling me any further information?

Nibbler

Nobody has provided a mod to do this, so if you need this feature you have to code it or hire someone to code it for you.

Frink

What would I search for, like on Google, for the type of code which makes that happen for thumbnails?  Is there a technical name for something that puts something over a thumbnail when it is generated to show the files information?

Joachim Müller

As Nibbler suggested: there is no pre-made code for this, so there is no point in googling for it. If you need it, you will have to code it (not "copy the code from somewhere else"). If you're not a coder, hire someone to code it for you. Marking thread as "closed".

Is there an echo in here, or is there a speaking parrot around? What's the use of just quoting my posting?

Frink

Sorry I accidentally hit post and I don't know how to edit my posts.
