Can't send mail

Hi, I have a Linux Debian server on which I have installed phpBB3 and Coppermine 1.4.12. I can send mail through my external SMTP server from the phpBB3 installation without any problems but when I try sending mail from coppermine, it fails. Weird thing is that when I was trying I did change settings many times on the admin panel, according to different posts in in this forum ( dont know s**t about php), the next day I checked the account I was sending (registration confirmation) mails to and found a couple of mails from coppermine gallery  .

But after that, it hasn't worked. I would highly appreciate any help!

I was making a mistake int he Email settings section. I was putting username@domain-name instead of just username. When I removed the domain name, it started working perfectly. I am stating it here for others that might be having issues.
