Hello Everybody!
After 2 months running without any problem my gallery (http://russiantopics.com/photos) suddenly stopped... I did not do anything to cause it... everything was working just fine.

I have read everything (almost everything) on your site about this error, read FAQ, read Manual, read docs ... for 6 hours - but didn't get it. Sorry, but I didn't get it. I deleted cookies. I made an upgrade from 1.4.10 up to 1.4.12 - but have never seen my gallery... I went through theme upgrade process from your manual - but no luck.

My question is: Could you please show me step-by-step instructions so I can boost my gallery in any crazy theme, view or whatever so I can see it working again? If I can do so - I will fix everything else that needs to be fix myself... I am just not a wise guy when I can't get where is the problem, and what causes it. Please explain it one more time on a very low level how can I get it moving...

Thank you, for your help and understanding...

Sami

I don't see template error !
first of all enable debug mode so you can see the actual database error

Thank you, Sami.
The reason I didn't see anything else except Template Error "Failed to find block" is because I never reloaded my browser and was always under admin login... What I did is: I closed every browser window and killed all cookies and was able to see what you see - MySQL error.

Well, following your instruction I tried to log in as admin (that was stupid!) to changed my debug mode from "admin only" to "everyone" but I got the same Template error again right after I put down my admin-name and password. So I erased all cookies again and reload browser and went to Phpmyadmin to change debug mode from "2" to "1" (that was just a guess, but that was right). Now you can see my MySQL error:

While executing query "SELECT count(*) FROM cpg1410_pictures as p, cpg1410_albums as a WHERE p.aid = a.aid AND approved='YES' AND category >= 10000 and a.aid NOT IN (10) " on 0

mySQL error: Table './rt113/cpg1410_pictures' is marked as crashed and should be repaired

Now the question is: Why my table is crashed (after fresh upgrade!) and how did it happen?
Second question: Where is that string I can pull to get my gallery back on track?

Thank you everyone for your time helping me and reading this.

Easy for you to say...
REPAIR TABLE cpg1410_pictures - does not help.
To tell you the truth - I have never used this one before, never had anything broken in my 8 years of websiting. My host provider is thinking about my issue, looks like they have never had anything like this before... But if you search this forum - looks like many people struggled with this before me, but nobody gave away some positive result.

This is very sad. You will probably say - this is not coppermine problem... And you are absolutely right. It is my problem now, but I don't know why it is even should be a problem...

I'll be back with some information.

Thank you.

Nibbler

Just copy+paste the code I gave you into phpmyadmin (SQL or query tab). Your webhost sees this issue every day, trust me.

Thank you for your help and time.

Here is the answer from my web host:

QuoteUnfortunately, the table 'cpg1410_pictures' is corrupted and it is beyond repair and the repairing table didn't help much. We also checked the backup for tables and there was no backup available for your database. So could you please delete those tables and import them from your local backup?

I see only no good news for me. In fact I just started with coppermine (2 months ago) and never thought about any local backup at this point. (Unfortunately). What is the best plan for me right now? Start all over? (about 400 pictures from all different people to give up).

I really appreciate your help.

Sami

If repairing the table doesn't help then all you can do is restoring your backup
If you don't have any backup from database then you should start all over , sorry
