Problem with searching keywords w/ apostrophe (')

Hello, i've got this problem. :!:

Because of the french language, there are keywords attached to the pictures and some are with ', like " l'est ", but when I try to search them it doesn't return to me any pictures.

same thing as when in the picture's info, i click on the keyword ("l'est"), it doesn't return me any picture, even as I come from one with this keyword  :x

got any ideas ? thanks for your support in advance and sorry for my english

the search function is still - erm - very mySQL'ish: the same thing happens with other chars from other languages as well - I guess it's related to the need to escape single quotes in this special quotes.
In other words: I agree that the search functions need a touch-up (in future versions of coppermine); currently, there's no known modification to fix this.
I therefor moved this thread to "feature requests"...
