Block guest access to displayimage.php

Is there an easy way to block guests from accessing the intermediate picture page?

In config, disallowing anonymous access doesn't allow guests to even access the main page/etc

I'm pretty sure I had this setting a long time ago but I forget how it's done, so that when a guest tries to access any intermediate picture page, I can display a message instead of allowing them to see the pic.
