Help! Won't upload, have to click the 'click to refresh' link to have it work

When I try to upload, it goes through about 17 pictures with the 'ok' icon and then it just posts the 'click refresh' link thing and if I click it then it says ok.  But that is the only way it will upload.

Refresh the batch-add screen (hit [F5]). If this doesn't help, do exactly as suggested in the docs, sections "upload troubleshooting" and "Asking for support on upload issues"
