Hello, I have installed the coppermine into the directory root/cpg
So the index file is in the directory CPG. How shall I make the script work from the root adress book?

Thank you for your reply, but you probably did not understand me.
I will describe that in details.

The installation from the adress book coppermine_dir", is described in
the documentation and manual in the step 2.1 How to install the script ,
not the installation from the domain root.
After a succesful installation
I have to enter http://www.your_server/coppermine_dir into the browser..
If I enter http://www.your_server.com the index of is written out.

I have tried to copy again index.php from the adress book coppermine_dir
to the adress book root, but it does not work.

There si written out.
Warning: main(include/init.inc.php) [function.main]: failed to open stream:
No such file or directory in /home/.warwick/xxxxxxxxx/xxxxxxxxx/index.php
on line 68

Warning: main(include/init.inc.php) [function.main]: failed to open stream:
No such file or directory in /home/.warwick/xxxxx/xxxxxxxxxx/index.php

Fatal error: main() [function.require]:
Failed opening required 'include/init.inc.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php')

I am asking for advice but please do not write to me please,
that I have to do the installation to the root of the domain.
Thank you for your answer.

you've installed gallery on a folder , so you cant browse it by just typing your domain name
If you want to gallery shows up just by typing your domain only then you need to install gallery under root
Do not create any folder on you root , just copy all files and folder on your www or public_html and install

Hello all,

I'm having the same problem. When I copy the installation files to the www root, I cant execute install.php.
Isn't there a way to let Coppermine start from my domain root?
I spent 2 days finding a solution without succes.
Hope someone can help me, I'm getting pretty frustrated  :-\
