Hi, Installation seems to have gone fine, I have uploaded a few photos and these can be viewed, however only by typing www.mydomain.com/cpg1414.  What I really want is simply to type www.mydomain.com and have the login option appear at the root.  Any help appreciated !

Coppermine can be installed both in a subfolder of your domain root as well as in the domain root itself. It can be moved at any later stage as well. You only have to mnake sure that all files and folders get moved. The only thing you need to do in the coppermine user interface after moving coppermine into another folder (or renaming the folder coppermine resides in, or moving coppermine to the webroot) is reflecting the changes of the URL in the corresponding entry of coppermine's config.
In your case: move everything (files and folder) that currently reside within the folder you installed coppermine in into the webroot of your website.
Has been asked frequently and is being covered in the docs.
