Coppermine doesn't use frames, so you must be refering to some custom page layout of your site. As we're not mind readers, you should post a link to the page you refer to for a start.

I've just made standard installation and I'd like to have my left part of the screen narrower. I can't find a php file to change this parameter...

You can't do that easily. You would need to create new background image files.
