Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/fresh123/pub

Greetings all
Have read documentation, but without success to this problem, and search didnt yeild any results
I am using the latest version of coppermine

When resizing pictures using the admin tools (after setting new value in intermediate picture sizing in config)
Many flicks resize but this error comes up and stops the process half way leaving many pictures the original (small) size.

The error is: Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/fresh123/public_html/freights/include/picmgmt.inc.php on line 273

Any ideas?
I have tried a few times, this error shows up at the same point everytime.
