New type of album display

I did not find any discussion about this;

I would like to define a new option for an individual album. That is to be able to display the Album index page in another style;
All "normal size" images on the same page, e.g on top of each other, using a new type of template.

The result of this is that the visitor will see all images in one album on one page an can read the texts along with this.  This would make it possible to user CPG albums for e.g travel report.

I know that this could be considered to be a "CMS feature" and not a Gallery feature, but it would be interesting to hear your opinions about this.
