Hi,

One of my users is no longer able to upload images, due to there being no change in the menu once logged in.  He gets the "Welcome Username" message, but the menu does not change and he is left without an "Upload Picture" link.

I can login to his gallery and upload no problems, so the issue is a local one with his machine, but what could he have done to cause the problem??

We have checked the user mode, cookies being accepted, tried lowering the security level, even created a brand new account.... all with no luck.

He is using WinXP and a late version of IE.

Any help appreciated, thanks

Russell

I did ask him to, but will check again.   Unfortunately he is not very computer savvy.  :-(

He has deleted cookies and cleared the cache yet still does not get the new menu after successful login.

He can upload from his work computer OK, so he knows what he is doing.

I am at a loss as to what on his machine could be creating the problem.... I wonder if an IE re-install will help?

Ask him to click here to check if cookies are being accepted.

I would have him run WinUpdate at least, and I would ask if he is running a firewall or some other type of program that could be filtering the cookies.

That link reports that cookies are being accepted fine.

I will get him to try again with firewall off (if he has one?) and also suggest the update.

Thanks

Also make him check his computer clock - if the clock differs from the server's clock, there might be cookie issues as well.
