OK sorry if this is an old one. I did search and I know the question has come up before. I think I remember reading that coppermine could no longer display exif data because of something not included anymore or something. I just wondered if there is any changes to this in recent versions or if there are any plans to make it work again somehow, if not are there any plugins that will make it work?

Photo without exif: http://www.oneuk.f2s.com/photos/displayimage.php?pos=-212

What's not working? If you click the "i" or "information" button, the exif data appears a long with the permalink and other information?

If you look in the changelogs there have been some various improvements in relation to exif data in the last few releases

I am running the latest version of Coppermine 1.4.16 from memory and it still displays EXIF data fine. I looked at your galleries and I suspect that when the photos have been reduced in size the EXIF has bee stripped. Before you upload an image to your gallery check that there is EXIF data in the image by using something like Photome or Exifer. I suspect that if there is some EXIF data it will still be there when it is on your gallery. A lot of image editing programmes strip the EXIF data when you 'save for web'

Sorry, I guess what I meant to say was the amount of data displayed.
If you look at this one:
http://www.oneuk.f2s.com/photos/displayimage.php?pos=-210 this is some of the info it displays:
Exposure Program: Manual
Exposure Time: 4/1 sec
FNumber: f 29
Flash: No Flash
Flash Pix Version: version 1
Focal length: 27 mm
ISO: 100
Make: Canon
Metering Mode: Multi-Segment
Model: Canon EOS 350D DIGITAL

Whereas this one:
http://www.oneuk.f2s.com/photos/displayimage.php?pos=-212 only diplays the following:
Filename: C_IMG_1796.jpg
Album name: John / Landscapes & Nature
File Size: 132 KB
Date added: Nov 01, 2007
Dimensions: 1024 x 682 pixels
Displayed: 47 times
URL: http://www.oneuk.f2s.com/photos/displayimage.php?pos=-212
Favourites: Add to Favourites

And then this one:
http://www.oneuk.f2s.com/photos/displayimage.php?pos=-216 displays the full set of data: (some of which is:)
Exposure Program: Unknown: 0
Exposure Time: 1/500 sec
FNumber: f 16
Flash: No Flash
Flash Pix Version: version 1
Focal length: 18 mm
ISO: 320
Make: Canon
Metering Mode: Multi-Segment
Model: Canon EOS 350D DIGITAL

and any others since the one above (216) only display the lesser amount of data.
I was thinking if it was anything to do with whether I take the photo on manual or auto, but I realised that the first one was taken on manual, and the other two were taken on auto (or at least semi auto)

Sorry, original what? What is that ^ from? I'm not sure I understand what you're asking.

JohnM-UK

Yes I know. The question is why isn't that one and all the newest ones showing the same as this one: http://www.oneuk.f2s.com/photos/displayimage.php?pos=-210 and the ones previous to that?

Nibbler

Because the EXIF info is not there.

John

Your photos have been stripped of the EXIF data before you have uploaded them as I said before. You need to check that the data is there before you upload the photo as I told you above.

JohnM-UK

OK, thanks very much, I will check that out.
