Showing albums in sub categories

Is it possible to not show what albums are in a sub-category? They really turn into one giant mess with everything else that is in my gallery. I want albums to be the same in the category your in, but the sub category at the top of the page I just want it to show the picture that i assign to the subcategory, no albums within that sub-category should be shown.
