I have been workig on aero theme from almost a month now .
now iam facing few problems , my site dosent scroll well on IE 7

working fine on firefox but there are some weird problems with images not showing properly .

The area i marked red says to be "selected"  (images in attachment ), without i ever select it at all :( , the probelm get solved when i right click and click "View background image" and hit the back button on the browser every thing appears to be normal , yes on every image i have right click and click view background to get the result in image named "no probs" in attachment

I came accross http://koivi.com/ie-png-transparency/ , how to add this to my page so that Ie users can get transparency

We have a strict "one question per thread" policy that you agreed to respect when signing up. I think I already told you so in another thread! As far as I know I told you as well on other threads that screenshots don't mean much to us - if you have issues with your theme, we need to be able to look at the code, so you should zip your theme folder and attach that to your posting.

Thought my problem would be with diffrent browser , so posted the last link relating to transparency with pngs :)

Ok ill upload the zip after i change all the paths from template

IE7 features PNG transparency, older versions of IE don't. The workarounds suggested in http://koivi.com/ie-png-transparency/ don't work very well. Use GIFs to circumvent any issues for cross-browser functionality.

The problem is weird , its not with the transparency alone .. older version of Ie dosent make scrolling heavy , its on my pc with Ie 7 giving transparency having difficulties browsing , some of my friends too have , but on some pc's this works fine , i am confused :(

SaWey

On my laptop, it consumes all of the processing power to scroll a little. Probably is the rendering of the transparency

Same problem with me , But things fine on Firefox ..

My system config is E6750 2.6 Ghz , 1 gb 800 mhz * 2   ram , xfx 8600 gt Gfx card , still having the same problem with Ie sawey has mentioned , but the same time i ve browsed my page on a celeron 1.8 GHz procesor without a gfx card this was running Smooth  ::) ::) ::) ::)

thats the moment i lost all hope with  my theme :(

I should have never used png's But my friends strongly like the theme  :)

And as my php knowledge is limited i have no idea how to use http://koivi.com/ie-png-transparency/ , would that solve the slow scrolling ?

Joachim Müller

No. As I suggested, that's just a workaround that will consume just as much resources. Additionally, it's tricky to get it working, and it is making use of proprietary M$-filters. I already told you what to do.
