Editing the user menu

What file do edit to turn off menu options or to add a custom link? I was able to turn them of in the language file but I dont think this is the right spot. It still leaves the :: marks between links.

No, the Language file is not the right place.

From the cpg documentation:

System menu
Determines the position of the first level menu the end user will see on your page (the one that contains the login/logout link). Even if you want to get rid of the menu or parts of it, do not remove the {SYS_MENU} token itself, but remove the menu items you don't want displayed by editing theme.php instead.

Sub menu
Determines the position of the second level menu the end user will see on your page (the one that contains the links "Album list" / "Last uploads" / "Last comments" / "Most viewed" / "Top rated" / "My Favorites" / "By Date" / "Search"). Even if you want to get rid of the menu or parts of it, do not remove the {SUB_MENU} token itself, but remove the menu items you don't want displayed by editing theme.php instead.

Use the  "addbutton" function in theme.php to add extra links.

If Steve's reply is no stafisfactory for you, post a link to your gallery for a start. Take a look at the final extract plugin as well.

Thank you for your help. I tried the plugin and it doesnt remove everything I need to remove.

The first option would be easier for me by editing the theme.php but Im not sure I am editing the right lines with the slashes(//). Can you tell what lines I can cancel? I was getting an error when I did it.

Can you tell what lines I can cancel? I was getting an error when I did it.

I can't tell you what you need to remove as I can't see your theme.

I already told you what you should do first:

post a link to your gallery for a start.

Zip the folder that contains your custom theme as well and attach the zip file to your next posting (using "additional options" when composing your message).
