Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/blah blah/public_html/delete.php on line 793

Upgraded Coppermine to 1.4.18 without resolving the problem. Also tried different versions of delete.php.

Make sure that you FTP client is set to actually replace the broken file.

I had same error when I tried to delete a file, sort photos or create an album, etc. Likewise, I installed a freshly downloaded delete.php without success. Eventually, after DELETING delete.php in both root and public_html, I uploaded again using Filezilla, and checked in Filezilla that the new delete.php had uploaded into root and into public_html. After running update.php, it works! Good luck!

You should only have one copy of that file, not two of them!
