^Thank you.
By the way, I hadn't done anything to my site when I posted about the error message yesterday, but I see the 'Index of /gallery' page now. I'll be enabling debug mode and see how things look up.

Your index.php was deleted. Upload a clean copy. And don't use fantastico.

Clean copy added, though it got me back to the simple 'fatal error' message again, I'll just go through debugging mode again and see whats up.

What is it about Fantastico that isn't recommended?

Wow, now I understand. So this should also explain whilst I have currently the latest version of Coppermine, when I am on my site admin it still says I have version 4.1.16.

So in order to 'stop' using Fantastico, would that mean I have to actually remove it? Because mine is apart of my web host (http://site5.com).

The page I refered to explains this as well. Quote:
QuoteUsually, you don't have to un-install your auto-installed Coppermine gallery and re-install our version; just perform an upgrade as suggested in the upgrade section of the documentation (even though the version number of your auto-installed gallery appears to be the same as they most recent "original" Coppermine package) and you should be fine.

There is no such version. You probably meant cpg1.4.16, not cpg4.1.16.

Huh? What do you mean with "part of my web hosting"? Your gallery is accessible on the internet, so it should be accessible using your FTP app. If this is not the case, ask your webhost, not us.

That screenshot is from the Fantastico app that we're not familiar with and that goes unsupported. Please don't hotlink int the future, but use the attachment feature.
