Dear all,

I have a problem uploading pictures to my gallery (http://bjoernhelbing.de/gallery) by using the Web Publisher Assistant of Windows XP. I checked all the FAQs, turorials and documentations, but it still does not working. Here is what I did:

1. I opened bjoernhelbing.de/gallery/xp_publish.php to download the registry file which contains the following text:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\PublishingWizard\PublishingWizard\Providers\dahause]
    "displayname"="dahause"
    "description"="dahause pictures"
    "href"="http://bjoernhelbing.de/gallery/xp_publish.php?cmd=publish"
    "icon"="http://www.bjoernhelbing.de/favicon.ico"

2. then I selected a picture for uploading, the webpublishing assistant opens, I select the coppermine account, I am logged in automatically (because I am logged in into the website by the browser), create a new album for the uploaded pictures (no category selected), go to next and get the message that no connection with the internet could be opened.

And here comes my question: WHY?

You can use the following account for testing: username: Darkwing, password: darkwing

Please help me and let me know if you need further information.

Thanks,
Björn

upgrade?!? I don't know what to upgrade - Windows XP is uptodate and the gallery is almost the latest version.

Does anyone have an idea?

Upgrade your gallery to the latest version as previous versions have a security problem that is actively being exploited.

If XP Publish is still not working, have a look at Coppermine Home Uploader.
