changing theme only works for loggedin users - everyone else sees classic

I have tried both changing the default theme in config to either blackbirch or to a custom theme - it works fine for me while Im logged in

If I open different browser and go to gallery home page I see classic theme - so that means any non logged in guest is also seeing classic theme until they register and login - I've tried the "http://www.domain.com/gallery/admin.php?theme=BlackBirch"  and then set the admin settings - that doesnt work

Ive also tried searching here for a number of ways to describe this problem - I cant find solution ...

One other weird thing is that when logged in and viewing the black theme I see all images fine - when not logged in 2 of the thumbnails on the home page are red x's while the rest are fine - it makes no sense

Any ideas would be appreciated

It should be using theme similar to blackbirtch

I can't access that site for some reason, but you need to update to 1.4.18.

the only reason you cant access the site is if your IP is blocked in the firewall
PM me your IP and Ill check
We do block some countries that have attempted repeated attacks over the years

well I went thru the upgrade this morning - uploaded the files - ran update.php and the version comparison showed all the right files.
Thats when I noticed the classic theme reverting 


I just went ahead and deleted everything except the albums folder and ran the process again and strangely the update.php acted like it was again modifying the DB - again
Not sure what was wrong BUT
Now it seems to be fixed
